14 Squadron honours Alfred Cooke – 07 Sep 2015

Flt Lt Alfred Cooke who left for Australia in 1967 returned to his Squadron and presented them his Vr C saying it belonged to the Squadron. Photograph taken yesterday on the occasion at Ambala, where 14 Sqn is now based, courtesy Man Aman Chhina.

Remmber him as a gentle giant. Still looks one.

Jagan of Bharat Rakshak was kind enough to send me the link of an article he uploaded yesterday itself. Its a first hand account by Cooke along with some film shots.

There is also a write up in the Indian Express about his visit to the squadron.

For those who want to take a short cut here’s the Indian Express picture and you will understand why I said ‘giant’.
