Groupie Chakko in his own inimitable style has penned his personal tibute to the Marut.

“Thank you Jagan for those absolutely gorgeous pictures of the Three HF Aircraft Formation. Come on, my dear Friends, where else had you seen an aircraft like the HF at that time. Just look at its lines. Could be mistaken for a missile, could it not? Again I say it could have been one if we had done the right things at the right time. I am certainly not being carried away in any transport of unrestrained delight. We had it in our grasp but we let it slip out of our hands. And think what it could also have been today with new carbon fiber technology, new electronics and weapon systems, a new powerful jet engine. Without going into the details of the new engine, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that it could also could have had a ‘supersonic cruise capability’. But WE, may be all of us, were suffering from that severe cancer of ‘malignant narcissism’!!

    With my kind Regards,

    Jacob Chakko.”
