Welcome to your blog

Hi,

Welcome. Please make an initial comment to this to let us know you’ve landed.  Subsequently you will be made an author which will enable you to put up your own articles.

Please inform anyone you think would like to be a member here. Open to all, not just Marut people, but anyone who wishes to contribute here. There are no rules as such, for now and hopefully ever after, except to share thoughts, stories and anything you want to discuss or feel like writing. Articles, poems, limericks, experiences anything at all, which would be of interest to the Marut family.

Incidentally, invite your spouses too to be members here if you wish. This place is just for all to stay in touch and keep abreast of what’s happening in our lives. Emails are good for personal correspondence. Here we can all keep ourselves informed and take part in group discussions.

A regular Marut site is being established by that genius Vicky. This place is a sounding board for what goes there finally. Please send in your anecdotes or whatever, so that others have an opportunity to add their own views and it will then be possible to consolidate and upload to the main site.

Please also feel free to give whatever ideas and suggestions you have towards improving this place as well as how to better organise it. We are all probably new to this, which is perhaps a good thing. We can make this blog whatever we want it to be.  Just pen whatever you feel like, it does not  have to be a Marut related subject at all. If you feel something is worth sharing, well this is the place to do it.

So thank you for joining and just make yourself at home.

Dara

Nice to see Meena Sapre on the blog.
It was only Sapre and me at A&ATU those days. So it was either him or me for the 4-gun trials. Sapre went to Jamnagar with the Marut and I went up North to clear ‘Y’ bombs on different aircraft. Poor Sapre never came back. God bless his soul. Lots of love, Meena.

      Ajit Sir,

Thank you for dropping by and a warm welcome to the blog.

We look forward to read about your experiences on the early days of the Marut and anything else you wish to write about.

We did a sortie on the Vampire trainer at Hakimpet in 1965!

Glad you got in Eddie. Now do it right the second time when you get back home again and start writing. Just now I get the feeling I’m a blabber mouth talking to myself. 🙂

Have fun in the land of milk and honey or is it the erstwhile land of milk and honey?

    Hi Ravi,
Welcome and am looking forward to seeing a few more faces around here soon.

I am trying to upgrade both you of you to becoming authors. However, I don’t think you have made use of the invite and hence am unable to do so. If not please do so. So could you please answer that.

    You too Su.

Sorry for the mix up. Forgetting the procedure, maybe its just old age!
    Dara

  15. Ravi Burli says:

Hi Dara, This looks good for a start. It was a pleasure anchoring the re-union and even better meeting up with you all. God bless.

    • Dara says:

      Hi Ravi,

I see you there but I think you will have to also come in through the invite I sent. Otherwise I cannot manage to add you as an author to enable you to write your own posts.

      Sorry for the inconvenience.

      Regards Dara

  16. Dara says:
